Honestly, how the little plant pushed its way through the concrete, I will never understand. Though tiny and tender, it fought its challenging surroundings. Though in bondage, it found a path to freedom. It peeked his little head out of the darkness and into the light. It grew. It bloomed. It became bigger and better than ever before.
Friends, have you ever seen a plant that thrives even in the hardest of circumstances? One that does not give up?
Have you, like my plant, been surrounded by seemingly impenetrable surroundings? Are you looking for the path to freedom?
So what is a gal to do when seemingly there is no way out of a dark situation? Here are a few things that have helped me through the years.
You and I have choices. We can lay dormant or choose to bloom where we are planted. We can decide to grow into something beautiful. Life is hard, but you have opportunities. You can decide to press on even in life’s curveballs and difficulties. You can choose to move towards victory.
As we choose to fight our battles and move forward, do so remembering, we have the confidence because God is on our side. As a believer seeking to submit to Jesus, He is always for you, not against you. Sister, He is for us. He wants to see victory and spiritual growth in your life. He too, wants you to make the best of your situation and press on towards the light. Psalm 56:9 reads, “Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call. This I know, that God is for me.”
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?” Romans 8:31-32 (ESV) When Satan cast doubt in your mind about God’s love for you, rest in God’s actions. He has proven his love by giving us His dear Son. Except it. Believe that. Move forward. God is bigger than any battle, fear, struggle you are facing. So bloom where you are planted today. Grow. Press on, for God is on your side.
I leave you today with this song by Kari Jobe and Cody Caries. Take a minute and worship, for it is powerful! Step into your day knowing He is for you!
